Enough

I don’t wanna go all squishy and soppy on you guys.

But I think it’s so important to understand a quote like this.

Because, when someone says ‘you are enough’ today, we feel hurt. W

e feel offended.

‘What do you mean by that? Enough!? I’m a QUEEN. You should think Im perfect! I should be EVERYTHING’.

And for some part, there is a truth in this.

But what I mean when I tell my husband he is enough, it is not me reminding him he’s not perfect.

By telling him he’s enough, I want him to know that even on his bad days.

Even when his emotions are too much to handle.

Even when he shuts down and takes his sadness out on me.

Even when he forgets something, even when he is working so much that I see him less for a while.. even when he’s scared or unsure.

Even when he feels like his world is crumbling and his life is falling apart..

He is enough.

He is enough for me.

He is still the one person I want to run to and tell him about the good & the bad.

He is still my shoulder to cry on.

He is still my person.

He is still my support.

He is still half of my Deen.

He is still the face I want to wake up next to every morning.

He is still mine.

He is still enough.

Enough for me.
